This week, the World Soccer Talk Podcast has released its 1,400th episode. It’s a milestone that has taken sixteen years to reach. And during that time, it has helped entertain soccer fans from around the world.

In fact, we are home to the longest continuous running soccer podcast in the world with over six million downloads since our launch in 2006. The twice-weekly podcast features exclusive interviews with soccer TV personalities and executives as well as debate and analysis around the latest global soccer news. Plus the weekend version of the podcast delves into helping soccer fans better understand the ever-changing options for streaming and watching games on television.

Available across all audio platforms, the World Soccer Talk Podcast focuses on topics around the business of watching soccer, from interviews with commentators, to review and analysis of soccer broadcasts, to the latest action on the field.

Some of the most recognized soccer personalities featured on the podcast are Michael Sheen, John Terry, Paul Scholes, Billy Beane, Rebecca Lowe, Patrick Kluivert, Vinnie Jones, Tim Howard, Toby Charles, Arlo White and Dwight Yorke.

None of this would have been possible without the support of soccer fans from around the world. Many of whom regularly contributed listener feedback, suggestions on future topics and helped spread the word about the show.

“The podcast has taken us around the world and behind the scenes to some incredible places,” said World Soccer Talk Publisher Christopher Harris. “We’ve been able to travel to Germany to cover Bundesliga matches as well as go behind the scenes to record podcasts at the studios of ESPN, NBC Sports, TelevisaUnivision, Turner Sports and many other broadcasters.

“On top of that, we’ve had the pleasure of interviewing some of the world’s best commentators and analysts. It’s been an incredible journey, and I look forward to sharing many more episodes.”
