The FIFA Ballon d'Or trophy is displayed

The three finalists for the 2014 Ballon d’Or will be announced at 11am ET/8am PT today via a special live stream made available by FIFA, France Football and YouTube.

In addition to the finalists for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, there’ll be an announcement regarding the nominees for other awards such as Women’s World Player of the Year, World Coach of the Year for Women’s Football, World Coach of the Year for Men’s Football, FIFPro World XI and the Puskás Award.

The live presentation will be hosted by Kate Abdo of Sky Sports News. She will be joined by Christian Karembeu (World Cup winner with France in 1998) and Hope Powell (former England international player and former coach of the England national women’s team).

The 3 finalists for the 2014 Ballon d’Or will be chosen from the 23-man shortlist.
