Waiting For "Special" Offer

Jose Mourinho said “thanks, but no thanks” to Lyon. According to France Football it is due to the fact that “The Special One” is waiting for that formal offer to come his way from Barcelona. That would be the first step in the eventual return of “The Translator” to the Nou Camp.

Mourinho became part of Txiki Beguiristain’s wish list for next year along with French star Karim Benzama, Chelsea’s Frank Lampard, Bayern’s Philipp Lahm, as well as Sevilla duo Dani Alves and Seydou Keita. Mourinho is the top candidate to replace Frank Rijkaard at the helm, but Barcelona seem to have righted the ship in the past few weeks as they cut what was once a nine-point deficit all the way down to two. There is even the slight possibility that they could even take the lead if they beat Atlético and Madrid lose on the road to Recreativo.

Yet there are individuals within the culé organization that believe that Mourinho would be able to solve some of the problems that the team presents on the pitch right now. After they broke down the tapes of this team they saw that their defense could be helped out based solely on Mourinho’s presence and tactical outlook of the game. There are others that think that the former Chelsea boss would go against the principles of Barcelona’s style.

There are still lots to figure out as the blaugrana are still in the hunt for a treble and the obtention of such would definitely give the Barcelona brass no other choice than to keep the former Dutch international at their disposal even though their relationship may be strained beyond repair at this point.
