- Spurs has announced the signing of Ivory Coast star Didier Zokora. The midfield player was one of the stars of the World Cup team.
- Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has joined Charlton from Middlesbrough after Boro announced they no longer wanted the Dutch striker.
- Both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have publicly stated their interest in signing Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy.
