The big news coming out of Italy this weekend was football’s pretty boy David Beckham (photo courtesy of AP) scoring his 1st goal for AC Milan in an impressive 4-1 road victory over Bologna.

Serie A Roundup: David Beckham scored his first Milan goal in a 4-1 win, while Inter's Jose Mourinho lost his cool.

The real man of the match was Kaka who scored twice as Rossoneri tightened their hold on 3rd place after Genoa drew 1-1 at home versus Catania.  Juventus kept pressure on Inter by defeating Fiorentina 1-0 as I Viola were denied by the return of Gigi Buffon and arguably the officials.  Inter kept hold of 1st place despite the red card expulsion of Jose Mourinho in the 1st half by defeating Sampdoria 1-0 on an Adriano goal scored in injury time of the 1st half.

It was a good week to be the road team as the hosts won only 4 matches, all of them by one goal.  The game of the week had to be the 3-3 draw between Torino and Lecce.  Torino down 2-0 in the 2nd half battled back to salvage a point with 3 goals in the 2nd half. It was an important point as Torino fight to get out of relegation.
