NBC Sports has announced its schedule for the final day of the Premier League season, which they’re calling it Championship Sunday when all 10 games will be shown live across NBC’s array of networks.
The game that has been given prime billing is on NBC, which features Manchester City away at Swansea City as the Citizens have to win in order to guarantee that they will qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. A draw or a defeat may not be enough.
If Manchester City tie or lose against Swansea, then they’ll be hoping that Manchester United will slip up in their game against Bournemouth, which will be shown live on NBCSN.
Meanwhile, Spurs and Arsenal are battling to determine who’ll have the bragging rights in north London. Meanwhile, West Ham United have a chance to qualify for the Europa League. In west London, Leicester City will be receiving a guard of honor at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, among other storylines.
Here’s the TV schedule for Sunday’s matches. All games kick off at 10am ET:

And Roberto Martinez will have his last game as Everton skipper broadcast on Esquire.
Frankly i’m surprised NBC and MSNBC are showing games this Sunday instead of political coverage during an election year (Meet the Press will be pre-empted in many markets, for example) . Honestly this weekend is relatively low stakes for a final Premier League weekend.
I think its in the contract that NBC does this every year. Plus it ties in with their “Championship Season” they’ve been doing for years thanks to their other rights
No complaints about NBC- they have taken soccer coverage to another level and continue to improve.
I remember the days when there was no EPL on TV.
Great studio coverage, all games on tv, match of the day- all A+.
For next season I suggest a daily 30 minute news/highlight show to increase viewer interest in the weekdays.
It will be hilarious when people complain on twitter about how their favorite rerun reality TV show is not being shown because of soccer. It has happened the last two years and I see no reason why it won’t happen again.
What particularly sucks here is that Everton vs Norwich has been moved to Esquire and it’s only available in SD on DirecTV,…yet you have the usual Extra Time HD channels sitting there unused!
So yes, they might have made the games available to more people today, but in my case, that’s at the expense of a loyal subscriber.
Added insult for DirecTV. My package doesn’t have Esquire. I assume the majority of DirecTV subscribers don’t have it either. I tried to sign on to NBC Live Extra and it said I don’t have access to that content (presumably because I don’t have access to Esquire). So much for complete coverage.
That is really really poor from DirecTV. What on earth are they thinking?
