The Seattle Sounders won a thrilling 2-0 victory in last night’s U.S. Open Cup as the Sounders have now won three straight Open Cup trophies. Their opponents, the Chicago Fire, failed to become only the third team ever to win the Cup five times. The first goal came in the 77th minute and Chicago had some good chances to equalize before Seattle sealed the victory in stoppage time.
