Telemundo Deportes will be the official Spanish-language broadcaster of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, which will be held in Russia this summer from June 17 to July 2.
According to Telemundo, the lineup will include close to 200 hours of programming on Telemundo and NBC Universo, complemented by extensive news and analysis on TelemundoDeportes.com and across the company’s platforms.
The live broadcasts will include all 16 matches, as well as pre-game and post-game coverage originating from Russia. This marks the first time that coverage of all Confederations Cup matches will be produced from all venue cities. Crews will be dedicated to covering the teams from Mexico, Chile and the other participating nations, and there will be FIFA Confederations Cup-specific shows airing at the start and end of each match day. In addition, “Titulares y Más,” the highest-rated weekday sports show in Spanish-language television among total viewers, will feature on-site segments, bringing the latest news and recaps of all the daily action, as well as additional coverage from Telemundo’s state-of-the-art studios in Miami, Florida.
Telemundo Deportes’ Confederations Cup programming will also be available via live stream on desktops, tablets, the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo App and fubo Premier, and for the first time ever, on connected TV’s, including Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. Exclusive short- and long-form content will also be available.
Telemundo Deportes’ award-winning team of on-air talent will be led by the internationally renowned commentator Andres Cantor, accompanied by Miguel Gurwitz, Ana Jurka, Sammy Sadovnik, Carlos Hermosillo, Copan Alvarez, Manuel Sol, Karim Mendiburu, Rosina Grosso, Leti Coo and Kaziro Aoyama. The team will be joined by special guests from the soccer world.
In addition, a variety of Telemundo and Universo programs will broadcast live from Russia throughout the tournament with a roster of talent reporting on site, including Daniel Sarcos and Rashel Díaz of “Un Nuevo Día,” María Celeste Arrarás of “Al Rojo Vivo,” and José Díaz-Balart and Luis Carlos Vélez of “Noticias Telemundo.” The Telemundo Station Group will also feature extensive coverage in their local newscasts and programming.
