Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg will clash on Wednesday, June 18, in their opening Group H match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The game will take place at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, with kickoff set for 6 PM ET. This will be a tough opening test for new Pachuca head coach Jaime Lozano, who is already considering his first lineup for the tournament.

Pachuca has brought in five new signings specifically for the Club World Cup campaign: Robert Kenedy (from Real Valladolid), José Castillo (Chivas), Sebastián Jurado (Juárez), Agustín Palavecino (Necaxa), and Federico Pereira (Toluca).

On the Salzburg side, head coach Thomas Letsch will be without Argentine midfielder Nicolás Capaldo, who is sidelined with a hand fracture suffered back in April. The Austrian club has named a 26-man roster, excluding Capaldo due to his injury.
