Newcastle United has revealed their new away shirt for the 2012-13 season.

The new Newcastle away shirt is designed and manufactured by Puma, and features a burgundy color with black trim. The shirt will launch on May 10. No news yet, but it’s possible that Newcastle may decide to wear the away shirt for the first time in their final match of the season, which is away against Everton.

According to Newcastle United blog NUFC, “At first glance, the color of the Puma shirt is similar to that which appeared on the Adidas 2006/07 season change kit. That was our last season of European involvement – although we wore either black and white or a third blue/black kit for the Intertoto/UEFA Cup ties. And that in turn was a remix of the previous 1995/96 Adidas effort that included maroon and blue hoops.”
