As we first reported on Friday, NBCSN will televise the U-21 match between Tottenham and Chelsea on Monday, January 11. The broadcast will be the first time ever that a U21 Premier League match has been shown live to viewers in the US.
Depending on the team selections, today’s game will be a good opportunity to watch U.S. U-20s Kyle Scott and Cameron Carter-Vickers play against each other.
In addition to the game being shown live on NBCSN, it’s also available on NBC Sports Live Extra so you can watch it on your computer, smartphone, tablet or Roku.
The London derby between the two sides will see 3rd place Spurs against 10th place Chelsea in the Premier League U-21 table. Spurs can move to within seven points of leaders Sunderland with victory against 2013/14 champions Chelsea, who can move into the top five if results go their way.
The game will be played at Stevenage’s ground, Lamex Stadium. In England, the game will be shown live on Sky Sports 1.
The match kicks off at 2:30pm ET on NBCSN.
UPDATE: The viewing figures are in, and the game was watched by 36,000 people in the United States.
