NBCSN posted record numbers for its Premier League coverage on New Year’s Day 2015.

Compared to last year, NBCSN saw a 28% increase in viewers with an average of 446,000 tuning in for the Premier League matches on January 1. The 12:30pm ET match between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea averaged 631,000 viewers, which ranks as the most-watched New Year’s Premier League game on record for US television.

Meanwhile, the successful debut of Premier League Breakaway averaged 406,000 viewers, which is up 10% from last year’s 10am-Noon ET slot when Southampton-Chelsea was featured. In addition to the 10% lift in viewers, there was a 44% increase in the adult 18-49 demographic.

The early kickoff (7:45am ET) between Stoke City and Manchester United averaged 330,000 viewers.
