In an ironic move, former U.S. National Team defender and current LA Galaxy GM, Alexi Lalas fired his former U.S. Men’s National Team Coach, Steve Sampson. I guess winning the MLS Cup last year wasn’t enough for Sampson. Yes, the Galaxy are struggling this year but this move smacks of a personal vendetta against Sampson as Lalas just joined the team this season.
