Osasuna midfielder Juanfran’s appeal was somewhat successful. He had one of his two bookings from Sunday’s loss to Real Madrid overturned after referee Alonso Pérez Burrull was suspended for one month after his performance in that match.
The Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee decided to erase the booking that Juanfran received in the 81st minute after he is tripped inside the penalty box by Real Madrid defender Pepe. This means that Juanfran will be able to play against Villarreal at the Reyno de Navarra for the 20th week of the La Liga campaign.
