Dunne and Dos Santos to join Ramos' White Hart Lane Revolution

The Manchester City and Ireland defender Richard Dunne and Barcelona’s Mexican wonder kid Giovanni Dos Santos are set to become Juande Ramos’ latest signings this weekend. City seem resigned to losing Dunne after he turned down their offer of a new contract this week and Spurs look set to complete a £5 million transfer for Dunne this weekend. Dunne only has 12 months left on his contract and City seem happy to take the money rather than lose him on a bosman next summer.

It seems that Dunne has been concerned over recent developments at the club and is seeking a fresh challenge. Ramos’ certainly knows that French U-21 international Younis Kaboul has effectively talked his way out of the Lane after criticising Ramos for not picking him. Portsmouth are keen to take Kaboul off Tottenhams hands and Ramos knows that Dunne is a pivotal signing to provide support and cover for Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King.  City fans will be sad to see Dunne go, he’s a massively popular figure at Eastlands, winning the player of the year for the last 4 seasons.

Barcelona’s Dos Santos also seems set to arrive in London to complete his transfer over the weekend too, with the fee of £12.5 million being agreed between Spurs and the Catalonian giants. Ramos is known to be a big fan of the Mexican and will be delighted to have captured his signature ahead of a host of European clubs. Dos Santos has showed some fabulous skill this season and with the signing of Modric, Ramos is certianly showing the way he intends Tottenham to play next season. More signings are expected this summer at White Hart Lane and it’ll be interesting to see if the new signings can keep Berbatov at the Lane and see Tottenham go all out for a top four finish next season.
