Chelsea have officially confirmed that they’ve agreed personal terms with Brazilian midfielder Willian, and that the deal is done. All that remains is for Willian to be granted a work permit. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

The Stamford Bridge club stole Willian away from Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday after the Anzhi footballer had agreed personal terms and completed a medical. According to The Guardian newspaper, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich phoned the owner of Anzhi Makhachkala to convince the club not to sell the player to Tottenham.
