Bosingwa will slot in as a preferred right back instead of Juliano Belletti who has had an indifferent season at Chelsea. Paulo Ferreira, meanwhile, will be available as back up if and when Belletti is signed by another club this summer.

Chelsea fans won’t have long to wait to see Bosingwa in action. He’ll be playing for Portugal in this summer’s Euro 2008 tournament.

While the race for the Premier League title is over, the battles in the transfer market are just beginning. Expect to see a flurry of activity in the coming weeks as the top English clubs try to seal deals before the Euro 2008 tournament begins when prices of players may increase (especially if players perform exceptionally well).
