Brighton vs Aston Villa: TV coverage plans

Brighton and Aston Villa have TV coverage plans before both take a hiatus for the World Cup.

It is the final matchday in the Premier League until Boxing Day. For some clubs, it is good to get some rest and regeneration before continuing the season. Others stop runs form form they are riding.

For these two clubs, it is a mix. Both clubs are coming off of strong wins in Premier League play. Can these two relatively new managers at their clubs send fans out for the month on a high note?

Brighton vs Aston Villa TV coverage plans

Watch now (in USA): Live on Sling Blue
Commentators: Joe Speight and Matt Holland
US TV: Match is on USA Network (available via Sling Blue)

The Brighton-Villa clash is the penultimate game in this ‘first stage’ of the 2022/23 Premier League. Only Manchester United-Fulham happens later, which follows the game from the AMEX.

With this being the first game on Sunday, there is a dedicated hour of pregame coverage via Premier League Mornings on USA Network. Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle and Tim Howard are behind the desk this weekend. Following the game, catch 30 minutes of Premier League Live before the United-Fulham clash. This wraps up the first game of the day’s action while also getting viewers set for the last game before the World Cup.

Brighton battles Villa

Roberto de Zerbi arrived at Brighton to replace Graham Potter. Some maligned the move, claiming he does not know English soccer. In his last three games at the helm, de Zerbi rattled off three wins. That includes a thumping of Chelsea, 4-1, and a comfortable win in the Carabao Cup over Arsenal, 3-1. Currently, Brighton is sixth in the Premier League table, ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

Aston Villa also found recent success under a new manager, only with a smaller sample size. Unai Emery, who previously worked at Arsenal then Villarreal, has one league win in one league game for Aston Villa. In fact, that came against Manchester United. Villa put out an inspired performance to run rampant on the Red Devils. It faces another tough task, this time on the road, with an in-form Brighton side.
