Brazil –
Brazil have approached every game in this tournament with supreme vigor and passion, which was depicted perfectly in the charged up and patriotic fashion of singing their national anthem. Today however, a much mooted Brazilian team could be seen, who would still be coming to terms with the 7-1 mauling they were subjected to by Germany.
With nothing to play for, Brazil would at least be doing their best to make sure that the host nation finishes 3rd, rather than 4th.
Netherlands –
The Dutch were outdone by Argentina on penalties, which often is the cruelest way of going out of a competition. Louis van Gaal would be in-charge of Netherlands for the final time today before he takes over the reigns at Manchester United, and will want to end his tenure on a positive note by seeking salvation for his semi-final heartbreak.
The Oranje army have entertained us throughout the tournament and would want to head home on the back of a win.
