AS Roma's Third Shirt for the 2013-14 Season, Chosen By Their Supporters [PHOTOS]

AS Roma have unveiled their new third shirt for the 2013-14 season.

Roma’s third jersey was selected by their supporters. After the club experienced quality control issues with their shirt manufacturer not meeting their high standards, AS Roma decided to design and manufacture their home, away and third shirts themselves this season.

“Today it is a great pleasure for us to present a jersey which was chosen by our fans – stated AS Roma commercial director Christoph Winterling. “This month a significant amount of our fans participated in the selection of the jersey that our players will wear with honor, passion and respect beginning in December. In the future we want to continue rewarding our most loyal fans with initiatives which will see them at the center of our activities.”

According to the Roma club website, “The third jersey will also be unique for its serial number and message – ‘Solo per quest maglia…Unico Grande Amore’ – printed on the inside of the collar. The external part of the collar will feature the year of the Club’s foundation in roman numerals, 1927. The tricolor decoration, recalls the 100% Italian manufacturing.”

Roma’s third shirt for this season is black in color with yellow and red as the trim colors.
