FOX’s World Cup commentary team includes some great names with World Cup experience. Ian Darke, Derek Rae and JP Dellacamera are just some of those with incredible experience. However, there is a new voice working alongside one of those commentators that has experience on the pitch.

In this episode of the World Soccer Talk podcast, Landon Donovan joins Kyle Fansler. The former forward talks about his role as a co-commentator at the World Cup. Donovan represented the USMNT in three World Cups, 2002, 2006 and 2010. Now, he joins Ian Darke in the commentator booth.

The USMNT’s joint-top scorer in history recounts Darke’s call of that famous goal in 2010 against Algeria. Plus, he discusses what it is like to be on the media side of the World Cup.
