Who Would You Start if You Were Bob Bradley?

You’re Bob Bradley and it’s the night before one of the biggest games of your career, and you have millions of USA fans putting the pressure on you to make the correct decisions.

But who would you start for the United States against Algeria tomorrow? And why?

Here’s my starting 11:

————–Howard————–
Cherundolo — DeMerit — Onyewu — Bocanegra
— Donovan — Edu — Bradley –Dempsey
——–Buddle — Gomez——-

The United States side needs a jumpstart in their attack. Out goes Altidore, who hasn’t looked 100 percent, and in comes Herculez Gomez. Out, too, is Robbie Findley who is replaced by Edson Buddle. With Buddle and Gomez up front and the attacking midfielders Dempsey and Donovan, goals are bound to come. As for the rest of the team, I don’t foresee any changes. My only concern is Onyewu and his fitness as well as his form, but there are few adequate replacements to step in and take over his role.

Which USA side would you pick to beat Algeria and make it through to the second round? Click the comments link below to share your opinions.

Most successful American soccer coaches in Europe

Most successful American soccer coaches in Europe

As more American players find success in Europe, soccer coaches from the United States have gradually established themselves across the pond. To be fair, though, this does not always come at the heights of success. Particularly in comparison to the brightest minds of European soccer, American coaches are still well behind in their tactics and […]

Neither Herrera nor Sanchez: San Diego to hire ex-USMNT boss

San Diego, the newest addition to MLS, have made a significant move by appointing Bob Bradley as their inaugural coach. This decision, reported by FOX Sports Mexico’s Gus Mendoza, marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the expansion team set to debut in the 2025 season. Bradley’s appointment comes as a surprise to many; […]

Bob and Michael Bradley to remain at Stabæk despite relegation

Bob Bradley and his son, Michael, are remaining with Norwegian side Stabæk, despite the club's recent relegation. The former United States men's national team manager previously accepted the position in Norway earlier this fall. Stabæk sat 15th of 16 top-flight teams at the time of Bradley's arrival at the club. The Blues had hoped that […]

When will an American coach crack the Premier League?

When will an American coach crack the Premier League?

It has been nine months since an American coach served as a manager of a Premier League club. In the grand scheme of things, that is not an overly long time. There have only been three American managers in Premier League history. The most recent was Jesse Marsch, who succeeded Bob Bradley and David Wagner. […]
