Brazil defender Thiago Silva scored in the seventh minute for Brazil against Colombia, for a perfect start to the host country’s World Cup qualifier in Fortaleza.
The early goal by the central defender featured Silva kneeing the ball into the back of the net after a corner floated the ball to the far post. From Colombia’s perspective, no one was marking Silva, giving Brazil a gift of a goal in the high pressure match.
