Chelsea vs Newcastle and Bolton vs Tottenham: Open Thread

World Soccer Talk

Two big matches in the Premier League this afternoon/evening. At Reebok Stadium in Lancashire, Fabrice Muamba will appear on the pitch a few minutes by kick-off. He’ll be watching the game in the stadium, and hoping that the Trotters can get all three points. Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, will be wanting a win to try to finish the season strongly in hopes of Champions League qualification.

Both Bolton and Tottenham Hotspur teams are unchanged since their last match.

Further south in England, Chelsea will play Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge, with both teams fighting for fourth. The Blues have made several changes to their side with the mindset of resting several players before this weekend’s FA Cup Final. The team news is as follows:

Chelsea team news: Cech; Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand; Mikel, Meireles; Ramires, Malouda, Sturridge; Torres.

Newcastle team news: Krul; Perch, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Santon; Tiote, Gutierrez; Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Ba; Cisse.
