Can Spurs Cope Without Modric?

Can Spurs Cope Without Modric?

After a slow start to his Spurs career he has made himself a fans favourite and has started to show some the quality in a Spurs shirt that he has shown for Croatia. There are no obvious players in the Spurs squad to replace the creativity that Modric brings his side.

Both David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas have been tipped for the exit door, however the injury to Modric could see at least one being help back to try and fill the void. Personally I am a huge Jenas fan however the England international doesn’t seem to feature in Redknapps plans so he may still take a way out if given one.

There is a possibility that Keane could move into the void left by Modric with Crouch taking his place alongside Defoe. Crouch had a fantastic game at the weekend when he came onto the park and is another great option that Redknapp has in his squad.

The next 6 weeks or so without Modric will be the true test for Spurs to see if they are true contenders for a top four finish or whether it is just an early run of good results and they will eventually slip down the table like Aston Villa did last season.
