Birmingham City vs Blackpool, Championship Playoff Semi-Final 2nd Leg: Open Thread

World Soccer Talk

We’re now only one match away from learning who will be in the 2011-12 Championship Playoff Final. Birmingham City plays Blackpool today at 2:45pm ET/7:45pm BST (for viewers in the USA, live on FOX Soccer Plus/FOX Soccer 2Go) in the second leg of the Championship playoff semi-final.

Blackpool has a 1-0 aggregate lead going into the match, thanks to a fortunate deflection. But everything is on the line today. The losing team will see their season end at the final whistle. The winning team will play West Ham United at Wembley in the nPower Championship Final on Saturday, May 19.

So who’s going to win this one, Birmingham City or Blackpool – both clubs who were in the Premier League last season?

Before, during and after this massive match, post your comments below. Also, don’t forget that today is the Europa League Final (2:45pm ET, DirecTV) between Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid, so feel free to share comments about that game here, too. That game will be shown on delay at 7pm ET on GolTV, too.
