Former World Cup winner and current Real Madrid Castilla head coach Zinedine Zidane has taken time during the international break to visit Bayern Munich and has praised the organization and family atmosphere at the German club.

The legendary player was among seven French coaches who took part in a three-day visit to the Bundesliga giant. The coaches met chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Monday and monitored training sessions lead by Pep Guardiola on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Zidane was in Munich to analyze the former Barcelona manager as part of the curriculum for his UEFA Pro Level Three coaching badge.

The former France international was interviewed by FC Bayern’s official website and was visibly pleased with his experience in Munich.

“My impression [of Bayern Munich] is the same as it was before I came here,” Zidane said.

“They are an extremely well-organized club, with personnel who breathe football from all sides.

“Despite their importance in the footballing sphere, they seem like a family club.”

Zidane is the likely successor to current Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, with some tipping the Frenchman to take charge of the defending European and world champions as soon as next season. However, it may be a little too soon.
