Saturday’s broadcast of Leicester City against Manchester United averaged 1.179 million viewers across NBC and Telemundo in an entertaining 2-2 game.

The 2:45-4:45pm ET broadcast averaged 991,000 viewers on the over-the-air NBC network, while Telemundo averaged 188,000 viewers for a combined audience total of 1,179,000.

It was a rarity for a Premier League match to feature a late 2:45pm ET kick-off time on a Saturday. NBC presented a special doubleheader that began at 12:30 p.m. ET with Burnley versus Tottenham.

The 12:30-2:30pm ET Burnley-Spurs match averaged 896,000 viewers on NBC.

Arlo White commentated Leicester City v. Manchester United, joined by analyst Graeme Le Saux at King Power Stadium. Telemundo’s broadcast featured announcer Andres Cantor.

In comparison to MLS, the Leicester-Manchester United broadcast had more viewers than the 2017 MLS Cup final between Toronto FC and Seattle Sounders that aired on ESPN, UniMas and Univision Deportes. The MLS Cup final had 1,143,000 viewers, which was 43% worse than the number for the 2016 MLS Cup final.
