Iconic Roma captain Francesco Totti is poised to return after a near four month lay off against AC Milan on Saturday. The 39-year-old figured in coach Rudi Garcia’s match squad released Friday for the first time since suffering a thigh injury on Sept. 26.

“Totti will be called. He’s still not 100 percent but he can make the squad,” Garcia told a press conference.

“It’s good news to have him back with us after three-and-a-half months,” he added.

This is Totti’s 24th season with Roma in Serie A. He made his debut aged 16 in 1993, and has gone on to score 300 goals, all competitions combined.

Injuries have limited Totti to three Serie A appearances this season, scoring once in 163 minutes. Totti has yet to feature in Roma’s UEFA Champions League campaign.

Roma currently sit fifth in Serie A, six point behind league-leading Inter Milan through 18 rounds.
