In groundbreaking news this week, CBS Sports confirmed that they will broadcast the 2021-2024 seasons of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League to soccer fans in the United States. What we know so far is that every single game will be streamed via CBS All Access, the paid streaming app. Plus, select games will be shown on the free-to-air CBS network.
Having not seen CBS All Access before, I decided to give you a brief demonstration of what you can expect. While the Champions League games won’t begin on CBS All Access until August 2021, there’s enough content on the paid streaming app to see what it’s made of and how it operates.
The design of CBS All Access is straightforward and very reminiscent of a typical website. The instant familiarity makes it easy to find the content you’re looking for.
Regarding sports, there’s a ton of NFL content and games — both live and on-demand.
The content on CBS All Access can be best summed up by their interim CEO, Joe Ianniello. “So with over 10,000 episodes of library content, catch-up viewing from the most-watched television network, a live stream of your local news and syndicated content, big tent pole sporting events, and a growing slate of premium original series, All Access has something for everyone.”
Personally speaking, I’m looking forward to the release of the new original series in 2020 entitled The Stand, based on Stephen King’s classic book.
Take a look at the CBS All Access demo to see how it streaming service operates. They’re currently offering a free 7-day trial, if you’re interested.
