Saturday afternoons of European soccer make a return to our airwaves today with three meaningful matches on deck.

Six top European teams compete today in three separate tournaments. At 2pm ET, Valencia plays AC Milan live on FOX Soccer (and ESPN Deportes and ESPN3.com) in the opening game of the 2013 International Champions Cup.

Thirty minutes later, GolTV is televising the 2013 German Supercup at 2:30pm ET between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

And last but not least, while there’s no TV coverage scheduled for the United States, another important match is kicking off at 2pm ET today. That’s the Dutch Super Cup between Ajax and AZ Alkmaar.

On top of all that, Real Madrid plays Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly that kicks off at 2pm ET on US TV on beIN SPORT.

For the Dutch Super Cup game, which is the traditional start to the new Dutch football season, Ajax will play AZ Alkmaar at Amsterdam Arena. Ajax manager Frank De Boer has so far been able to hold on to his prized assets Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, both of whom should feature in today’s match, while Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic may feature after being loaned out to Ajax.

In the International Champions Cup, today’s match between Valencia and AC Milan is the only match of the 12-game tournament that will be played outside of the United States. The winner of today’s match between Valencia and AC Milan will play the winner of Chelsea against Inter Milan. The possibility of a Milan derby, or a Chelsea versus Inter Milan match, is mouthwatering. That game will be played on March 8 in New York City.

The first piece of silverware in Germany is up for grabs today as Bayern Munich plays Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup. The match, which will be played at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, features the winner of the 2013 Bundesliga season against the winner of the DFB-Pokal.
