
Last week saw The Football League Awards 2011 take place in London celebrating the achievements both on and off the pitch of the 72 clubs that comprise the football league.
The headline winners of the evening from the evening where Adel Taarabt and Conor Wickham with the later winning two awards highlighting just how quickly his star has risen in recent months.
The main playing award in the Championship was the footballer of the year award which was won by the talented yet tempermental Queens Park Ranger Taarabt.
