NBC Sports Live Extra is now available on Roku and Apple TV in the United States so that soccer fans can watch the Premier League live on the set-top box devices.

A subscription to a cable or satellite TV provider is still required so you can authenticate your login on NBC Sports Live Extra. However, having NBC Sports Live Extra available on Roku and Apple TV devices will make it easier for soccer fans to watch their favorite league (and other sports) without having to switch from their set top box to a laptop or TV.

For soccer fans in the United States, having NBC Sports Live Extra available on Roku and Apple TV devices is a huge boost because viewers can watch the games on their TV sets. Plus, they’ll be able to choose from all 380 Premier League matches available per season.

According to a NBC Sports spokesperson, NBC Sports Live Extra on Roku or Apple TV will offer up all the same games as Live Extra, including full event replays, all via authentication.

Roku customers can find the NBC Sports Live Extra streaming channel on their Roku players and Roku TV models within the Sports category in the Roku Channel Store.

In addition to the Premier League, Live Extra streams all live sports content televised by NBC, NBCSN and Golf Channel, including Stanley Cup Playoffs and Triple Crown, the Summer and Winter Olympics; Sunday Night Football and NBC’s NFL pre-season and post-season coverage; NHL regular-season games; the PGA TOUR, including the FedExCup Playoffs, and the LPGA; the Premier League; studio content surrounding many of the aforementioned properties; original programming such as The Dan Patrick Show and Men In Blazers; and much more.

NBC Sports Live Extra offers more than 3,000 live stream events a year.

Soccer fans can buy a Roku for as little as $49, and an Apple TV starting at $79.
