The vast majority of club soccer leagues around the world have been put on pause for the next two weeks as national teams prepare for important matches in the UEFA Nations League, Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as well as friendlies across the globe.
With the UEFA 2020 qualification draw scheduled for December 2, it means that the upcoming round of UEFA Nations League games are vitally important. England will seal a place as finalists if Spain fail to beat Croatia and England then win their final game. France will reach the finals with a draw or better against the Netherlands. Meanwhile, Germany will be relegated if they do not win, and will be down three days earlier if the Netherlands beat France. Italy has a chance to reach the finals if they beat Portugal and the European champions do not defeat Poland three days later. Spain will seal a place as finalists with victory over Croatia.
And those are just some of the possibilities over the next week.
In addition to a few intriguing Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, there are several exciting friendlies in store including USA playing England and Italy in one week, Argentina playing Mexico, Brazil versus Cameroon and Brazil against Uruguay, just to name a few.
