Real Madrid have already made headlines this summer with the signings of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold. But the Spanish powerhouse isn’t done yet. The club is also pushing to finalize a deal for Álvaro Carreras to reinforce the left-back position before flying to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup later this month.

The transfer activity is far from over, as Real Madrid are planning several more additions to arm new manager Xabi Alonso with a squad built to compete on all fronts in the upcoming season.

Midfielder and striker on Madrid’s radar

According to Josep Pedrerol on El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid are targeting a new midfielder and forward once the Club World Cup concludes.

The need for midfield reinforcements has been clear for some time, especially after the club chose not to directly replace Toni Kroos last summer and now prepares for Luka Modric’s departure. One name gaining traction is Angelo Stiller from VfB Stuttgart. The 23-year-old German has impressed in the Bundesliga and is valued at around €50 million.

In terms of attack, Real Madrid are looking to sign a traditional striker—someone who fits a similar profile to former loanee Joselu. Xabi Alonso is reportedly keen on adding a pure number nine to the roster to bolster the team’s offensive options.

Adding urgency to the situation are the ongoing rumors surrounding Rodrygo Goes. Should the Brazilian leave this summer, the club would be forced to make a move in the transfer market to replace him.

With the Club World Cup on the horizon, Real Madrid’s focus remains split between international competition and summer squad building. But once the tournament wraps up in the U.S., expect a new wave of transfer activity from Los Blancos.
