Swansea and Reading To Contest Play-off Final

The Championship play-off final will be contested between Reading and Swansea on the 30th of May at Wembley stadium.

The winner will gain a place in the Premier League next season competing against the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

The loser will be quickly forgotten and have to cope with the mental pain of falling at the final hurdle.

Apart from the prestige the game has a huge financial implication for each of the clubs, with the winner expected to pocket over £90m in additional revenue, the final has been touted as the most lucrative game of football in the world.

Swansea

After overcoming Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals, Swansea will be aiming to make history and become the first Welsh club to play in the Premier League.

Playing an attacking brand of passing football the Swans will enter the tie as slight favourites.

With a quality goalkeeper and balanced side, the Swans will be hoping that their attacking prowess will give them the edge.

In the semi-finals Reading overcame Cardiff with an impressive away victory in the second leg to give themselves a shot at promotion.
