Thiago Motta scored in the 78th minute to maintain Genoa’s standing. 5th place Fiorentina stayed 2 points back of Genoa with their 2-1 road win over Atalanta. Alberto Gilardino scored the game winner in the 89th minute providing heart -wrenching drama for I Viola.
