The Premier League is back in action, and the title race is slightly closer now. After Arsenal dropped points in a dramatic draw at Anfield, Manchester City only trails the Gunners by six points. However, City has a home game against Arsenal and a game in hand. However, that is all in the future. In the now, there are some great games for other races in the table.

Remarkably, though, there is only one game involving two teams in the top half of the table. That is, however, with two of the more in form teams in the league. Aston Villa hosts Newcastle, with both seeking a major European spot. Aston Villa, which has had a renaissance under Unai Emery, is all the way up to sixth after collecting 19 points in the club’s last seven games. Newcastle is flying in its own right with five wins on the bounce to climb to third in the league.

At the other end of the schedule, Liverpool travels to Leeds in what is sure to be an unpredictable game. These two clubs are just as likely to overwhelm an opponent as they are to cash in a horrid performance. Should be interesting to see what team shows up on Monday.

Finally, the London clash between West Ham and Arsenal could have some intrigue. Arsenal are still in the driver’s seat, but any dropped points would open the door for City to walk right through. West Ham has been an up-and-down team this season but could pester Arsenal.

NBC coverage this weekend

For studio coverage on NBC’s platforms, Rebecca Lowe is joined by Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe. There is buffer coverage around each game. Then, on Monday, Anna Jackson replaces Lowe, and Danny Higginbotham steps in for Robbie Mustoe.

GOAL RUSH is back in action during the 10 a.m. kickoff window on Saturday. The whiparound show focuses on one game, but dips into other contests to show major moments, goals and highlights. Goal Rush is available exclusively on Peacock.

Also, there are three games on the docket this weekend that are available in 4K. Those are Manchester City-Leicester, that London clash for West Ham-Arsenal and the Leeds-Liverpool game. Make sure you have the right subscriptions and hardware to watch the Premier League in 4K.
