West Ham United have announced they’ve decided not to renew the contract of manager Sam Allardyce.

The club made the official announcement on its website just minutes after the game between Newcastle United and West Ham United ended.

The cold-blooded decision by West Ham United’s owners to make the decision so soon after the final game of the season ended is callous. The club could have easily waited until tomorrow to make an announcement, but decided to do so after the game ended.

West Ham United will now begin its search for a manager to replace Allardyce.

Meanwhile, the decision to remove Allardyce has been met by the glee from some West Ham United fans who never liked the manager in the first place.

According to the club statement, joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold will now oversee the recruitment process for a new manager to lead the Club into one of the most exciting eras in its history.

“The Board has already compiled a shortlist of replacements for Allardyce and will be making significant transfer funds available for the successful candidate,” the statement continued.

“Our target is to recruit a manager that will build a team capable of saying a fitting farewell to the Boleyn Ground next year and do justice to the outstanding surrounds we will call home from August 2016.

“We have already been impressed with the quality of candidates that have expressed an interest in the role and fully expect to appoint a manager with the credentials to take this Club on to new heights.”
