I had an interesting conversation with GolTV commentator Phil Schoen this past week (available as episode 7 on the EPL Talk Podcast).
We discussed whether it was better for Arsenal to employ the tactics they did in their second leg match versus Villarreal, or if they should come out from the gates blazing to score that crucial first goal.
If you’re not aware, Phil Schoen has been a devout Arsenal fan since the 1970’s, so it was interesting to hear his perspective, and to also gain some insight into his memories of Highbury.
