Yesterday’s Premier League matches went according to script for the teams near the top of the table. Chelsea climbed to the top of the Premier League table, but Manchester City can leapfrog both Arsenal and Chelsea to first place with a win today away at Newcastle United. Meanwhile, a win for Liverpool away at Stoke would leapfrog them over Everton and Spurs into fourth place.
