Man United US 2023 tour finalized: Tickets, opponents, dates

The Man United US summer tour for 2023 is coming up, as the Red Devils are set to return to North America.

Three United games set for July

Manchester United are playing a three-game slate in late July. First they visit the New York metro area and then head to the west coast:

• Saturday, July 22 vs Arsenal, in East Rutherford, NJ; 5:00PM ET / Tickets available
• Tuesday, July 25 vs Wrexham AFC, in San Diego, CA; 9:30 PM ET / Tickets available
• Sunday, July 30 vs Dortmund, in Las Vegas, NV; 9:00PM ET / Tickets available

Two games are held in NFL venues – MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants/Jets, and Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders. The first match sees them taking on Premier League rivals Arsenal in New Jersey. United Football Director John Murtough was keen to play up the match.

He noted “Manchester United versus Arsenal is one the most famous and anticipated fixtures in the English football calendar and supporters from both clubs understand how big the rivalry between the two sides is. It’s great to be able to bring this match to New York and play in front of what I am sure will be a sell-out crowd.”

Second up is a meeting with the toasts of the lower league world, Wrexham AFC, in San Diego. The venue is Snapdragon Stadium, home to the NWSL’s San Diego Wave. It was opened in 2022, on the site of the longtime former home of the NFL’s Chargers and MLB’s Padres. Finally, they’ll head to the bright lights of Las Vegas to battle with the Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund.

United a regular visitor to the US

United frequently cashes in on their worldwide popularity by participating in summer friendlies and competitions in the US. The club finished runners-up in the 2011 edition of the World Football Challenge. They won the 2014 edition of the successor event, the International Champions Cup, which included a record crowd of 109,318 for their match vs Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium.

Overall it’s been a successful season for the Red Devils. United are gunning for a top-4 finish in the Premier League as the season winds down. They’ve got a massive Manchester derby vs Man City at Wembley in the FA Cup Final coming up in June. And in February, United won the EFL Cup, their sixth title in the competition.
