Just when you thought that the new owners of Blackburn Rovers, the Venky’s, couldn’t stoop to any new lows, they’ve done it again. This time it’s with an absolutely embarrassing video of their players promoting chicken.
The video is so bad that it looks like something you would expect NASL footballers from the late 70s to be promoting Kentucky Fried Chicken or something like that. But for a club with the history and tradition of Blackburn to be subjected to such commercialization is disgusting.
The new owners of Blackburn have been talking a good game about signing star players, but nothing has materialized. And they were reportedly contemplating renaming Ewood Park as Venky’s Stadium at one point, but this chicken commercial is an absolute disgrace.
