Some clubs are into their last five games of the 2022/23 Premier League season. Others, namely Brighton have as many as eight games still to play. While that may indicate that it is all to play for, the final table is starting to take shape.

League leader Arsenal suffered another crushing blow to its title hopes when Manchester City dumped the Gunners out of the Etihad. Despite holding a two-point edge over the Citizens, the blue side of Manchester still has two games in hand. Therefore, Arsenal simply must win its remaining games. That starts on Tuesday against Chelsea, which cannot buy a win.

The rest of the top four seems to be settling, too. Manchester United and Newcastle picked up at least a point midweek to extend the gap with the teams beneath them. Aston Villa is the closest, but it is still six points behind the Red Devils. However, Aston Villa can close that gap when it travels to Old Trafford in a highly anticipated clash on Sunday morning.

In terms of the always-interesting relegation battle, there are two major games. Bournemouth battles Leeds and Everton faces Leicester City. Bournemouth has some breathing room above the drop with seven points. However, Leeds is just one point above the relegation zone. For the other game, both Leicester and Everton are in the relegation zone entering the weekend.

NBC coverage

There are two Premier League games in 4K this weekend. Those are Liverpool-Spurs on Sunday and Chelsea-Arsenal on Tuesday. The higher resolution broadcasts do require correct subscriptions and hardware.

GOAL RUSH is also back in action, but it is making a rare appearance on a Sunday. With four games in the 9 a.m. kickoff window on Sunday, you can follow one game but dip into the other major moments from around the grounds at that time.
