The year 2017 was full of positives for attendances at soccer matches throughout the United States.

First, it was another successful summer for the International Champions Cup. The annual soccer tournament had the three most-attended soccer games in the United States as well as six out of the top ten attendances nationwide.

Second, in MLS, both Atlanta United and Seattle Sounders ruled the roost with impressive attendances throughout the season.

Third, it was Mexico (not the United States) that had the most attended games for a national team on US soil in 2017. Despite this, attendance was down at Mexico games in the US in 2017 compared to previous years.

Lastly, no games drew over 100,000 and only one drew 90,000.
