Barcelona

Dunga's Last Stand

Dunga could be seeing his days numbred as coach of the Brazilian national team. The road is not very easy for the Canarinha as they face an inspired Chilean side in Santiago, they wil then follow that up with a fairly accessible match against Bolivia at home. The result sounds accessible at least on paper.
Seven players from the bronze medal-winning side will take part in this round of qualifiers- including Ronaldinho. The Brazilian media obviously criticized the inclusion of the AC Milan midifielder, while his teammate Kaká will not be. Robinho will be back in the lineup. Another big absence is that of Barcelona left back Dani Alves even though due to him recovering from a shoulder injury.
Currently Brazil is in fifth place in the South American qualifiers with nine points earned in the first six matches. If Brazil were to fall out of the fifth spot or not get back into automatic qualification spots, the former Brazilian captain could see himself watching the October matches against Venezuela and Colombia from a TV screen at his house.
