Bayern Munich To Offer Thomas Mueller Improved Contract

Mueller Has Been Linked With England's Best.

Following Thomas Mueller’s sensational World Cup showing, the young starlet who helped Germany’s cause with 4 goals and 3 assists in just 5 games has come under the lens of many of Europe’s elite clubs.

Mueller, who was almost unheard of before his success this year with both club and country, could be on his way out of Germany and in to England, with both Chelsea and Manchester United looking to snap up the young striker.

Reports suggest that Bayern Munich, after being alerted about such great interest being shown in their player, have decided to offer Thomas Mueller an improved contract so that he decides to stay on with the Bavarian giants and spurn the chance to join another club.

All of Germany’s national team squad, minus Jerome Boateng who just recently signed for Manchester City, play in Germany. It certainly shows in the way they have played at the World Cup; excellent team-work and a real understanding of the tactics and the system they are all trying to fit into. Mueller’s move may not be good for him, especially at such a young age, and it’s not as if Bayern Munich are a small-time club who can’t compete with some of the other European giants. Mueller would benefit from a longer stay with Bayern Munich, and then move on once he has fully matured as a player.

It is key that Bayern Munich keep hold of their talented youngsters, so that they don’t fall into a massive spending pattern and send the club into a messy debt situation. Also, the wonders they are doing with their academy is of huge benefit to the German national team. Bringing through players like Toni Kroos, Thomas Mueller, and before them the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm becomes key to the success of Bayern Munich and of the national side.
