Gareth Bale Declared Fit and May Play Against Manchester City on Sunday: The Daily EPL

Gareth Bale has been declared fit and may play against Manchester City on Sunday, according to manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Bale injured his ankle and was stretchered off the pitch on April 4 in an Europa League tie against Basel. Initial concerns were that Bale would be out for the season, but the Welsh winger recuperated quickly and may start or play a part in the key match on Sunday (8:30am ET kick-off).

It’s been a good day for Bale. In addition to being declared fit, Bale has been nominated for two Player of the Year awards.
