US World Cup Game Against Portugal to be Televised Live On ABC On Sunday, June 22

USA’s game against Portugal on Sunday, June 22 will be televised live on ABC, according to ESPN Senior Vice President and Executive Producer Jed Drake. The ESPN executive was speaking via phone from Brazil to the US soccer media in Bristol, CT.

In its other games, USA vs Ghana is scheduled for 6pm ET, while USA vs Germany is Noon ET.

The kick-off time for USA vs Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal is perfectly timed for a 5 or 5:30pm ET broadcast and 6pm ET kickoff on Sunday, June 22. The hopes will be that the US can smash the 14.9 million who watched USA vs Ghana on ABC during World Cup 2010.
