Sunday night’s MLS Playoff between Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy, which was televised on ESPN beginning at 9:20pm ET, broke the 500,000 barrier.

The game delivered a 0.3 HH US rating and was watched by an average audience size of 573,000 people.

The 573k number is an improvement against the other MLS semi-final second leg played over the weekend, for the New England Revolution against New York Red Bulls game on NBCSN, which was viewed by 267,490 people.

Despite Seattle winning the match 2-1, the aggregate score remained 2-2, which meant that LA Galaxy won the series on the away goal rule.

LA Galaxy will face New England Revolution this Sunday in the 2014 MLS Cup. The match will be shown live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, WatchESPN.com, Univision Deportes and UniMas at 3pm ET.
